ProtectX Black Winter Safety Vest Insulated High Visibility Construction Vest With Pockets

I am very pleased with this safety vest, especially with the fit. I normally order a size XL, tall if available. With a vest I suppose I don’t really need a tall, as it’s usually the length of long sleeves that’s an issue for me. But, I was very pleasantly surprised by how long this vest was. It’s definitely a bit longer than most every vest I own, especially safety vests. This comes down a few inches below my belt. There’s also a rather strong elastic in the hem that hugs me tightly. Definitely will keep any drafts from coming in through the bottom of the vest. The body feels normal, just the hem that’s a snug fit.

This is a reasonably warm vest. Perhaps not as warm as my warmest goose down puffer vest, but similar to most other puffer types vests I own. Perhaps a bit better than most due to how the bottom fits. It doesn’t look like a puffer vest from the outside, but you can see the stitching on the inside. Two zippered hand pockets on the outside. I can get my huge hands into them, although they’re not excessively large. There’s a small pocket on top, narrower than most such pockets. Likely good for a cell phone, although my iPhone 7 plus with a minimal case really doesn’t fit. I can just force it in there, but I’d be afraid of ripping it and I couldn’t get it out in time if the phone rang. There is a larger inside pocket where I would probably store my cell phone if needed.

Of course for a safety vest you want it highly visible. The reflective tape works well, and there a good amount on both front and back. If I were using this for construction work or spending lots of time near traffic I likely would have gotten the green or orange ones as they’re even more conspicuous than the black one. But I will likely use this for walking around the neighborhood at night. I just need to be conspicuous while crossing the road, not necessarily while I’m on the sidewalks. This works perfectly for me.

I certainly can recommend this ProtectX winter safety vest. Good reflective tape front and back, accurate sizing perhaps a bit longer than most, strong elastic hem.

This winter safety vest is excellent! It’s warm, durable, and highly visible, making it perfect for cold weather work. The reflective strips are bright and effective, even in low light, and the insulated design keeps me comfortable during long hours outside. The fit is great, with plenty of room for layering, and the pockets are super handy. Highly recommend for anyone needing safety and warmth in one vest!

Warm, fits nicely. It does zip on the wrong side but other than that it's what I wanted.

I like this vest a lot. It is warm, which is nice for fall and spring weather. I'm not too tough on my clothing, but this seems durable and should last me quite a while. It has lots of pockets, which is handy. The hi-vis material is very noticeable and will keep you safe. Overall, a nice product.
